GH4 GH4 V-log?

RAW requires less processing so the GH4 hardware should have no problem with it, as far as IO speed it will likely require a high end SDXC card.
Oh! I thought it was harder on the camera's processor to deal with RAW. Well, in that case, RAW would be amazing!

I suppose it would require the absolute fastest SD cards available. U3 at a minimum. I guess we'll find out in a day or so!

note they said "AND PROBABLY" Raw... who really knows, we wait, we see, we install it either way :D

I wonder wether they could do a type of dual ISO in firmware, for standard as well as low light.
Other cameras have that,it should be even possible to have more sophisticated noise reduction in firmware, I guess it depends wether they want to keep selling more GH4's for a time
(probably at least a year before the GH5).
But nahh...we will be lucky to get V-Log and not much else...gonna find out soon enough.

"At NAB, it was announced that the award winning LUMIX GH4 will have firmware update (Ver.2.2) available later this month, enabling recording anamorphic video content. Unlike complex digital post processing needed to achieve the classic Hollywood look, many effects that have became so popular with anamorphic film capture can now be achieved optically in the LUMIX GH4."

What!? I saw that too on Twitter. I thought they already enabled anamorphic shooting capabilities.

Not quite. We were using the 4x3 photo mode which is restricted to 30fps. Hopefully this will allow an aspect ratio choice in the video mode. Still would like V-Log though.....

Firmware 2.2 coming soon but no mention of V-Log. We should know more in a couple hours or less.

"A new LOG gamma file color space, which according to Panasonic is “being evaluated for market release in 2015.""

Is it just me or does this read as "Our finance department are recommending we keep v-log for the _____________ (enter new camera model here)?

I guess we shouldn't put all our hopes in this update coming.
