How is the viewfinder?? Is it noticeably sharper than the GH2? Hoping!!
... And how difficult or how easy is it to manually find focus with the EVF compared to the GH2 ?
For me, that's the $64,000.00 question.

The LCD is a massive improvement. I found the GH2 EVF decent so I'm not sure how massive an improvement the GH3 EVF is. I find the image refresh rate rate faster so it feels more like a mirrored VF to me. Only had it for a day so I really haven't a ton of time with it yet.

Mine is great so far as I've had time to play with it, though I have a stuck green pixel on the back panel display.
I mostly don't care, but it's there-- unfortunately near the center of the screen.
I'm going to see if I am annoyed by it enough to go to the trouble of repairing it when it's such a tiny issue. Things like that don't bother me much, but thought I'd mention it for others to be on the lookout for. It's really subtle.

Did you pre-order a Kit? Panasonic's reps made it sound like these weren't being sold in the USA, but maybe they were only talking about the initial delivery.

The GH3 feels nice in the hand. I was a little worried it would be to big but it's not. The LCD screen is very nice! as well as the viewfinder. Both are much sharper and the colors are bright.
The battery is showing one bar so off to the charger it goes.
Here is the battery and charger as well as the GH2's side by side.
With Lumix 70-100 at 100, f2.8 @1/200 ISO 640

I hate adding bulk to a compact system, so don't understand why they went back to a charger that requires an external cable, & will be buying 3rd Party options as soon as possible.

I love the charger with an external cable! It's easier to plug in two chargers in one outlet.

I got mine off e-bay for a $100 premium. Would have paid more than that in sales tax. Ordered on thurs and get it on Monday.
