GH2vk breakthrough soon...?

[VMT]

The GH2 produces a pretty good picture out of the box, but it looks like the VK hack will make it an amazing awesome little camera. I wonder if the new patches hold up, how the GH2vk will compare to the AF-100?

EDIT: Vitaliy Kiselev posted the new GH2 hack Ptool v3.61d for "vastly improved video bitrates:

This is pure awesomeness...Can't wait to see what VK means by "it's like a photo"...

[adammada]

Vitaly has already been baptized: GH2 Stalin

www.personal-view.com is down right now. Is the hack we have been waiting for imminent?

[roei z]

hope that Panny didn't step in...

[kanintesova]

Perhaps maybe just the word is getting around and too heavy traffic? Server went down? I think I read that VK had some issues with this, thinking of moving site?

Or it's all a conspiracy.

Well OnT: I really hope some stable patches are going to be figured out soon. Keep it up! But I really need to get a card reader! Can't put the firmware on the card right now. Good thing they are cheap.

[stoneinapond]

VK was definitely talking about moving some stuff to a new server.

[mpgxsvcd]

Based on VK's latest posts it appears that the new high bit rate hacks are stable.

[mpgxsvcd]

http://www.personal-view.com/ is in site maintenance mode now. Hopefully, VK can get everything worked out soon. He said that it was a real pain trying to switch everything over before the site went down.

[adammada]

. . . I will be calling it.

do that
and forget not to take your hundred miles long trail of slime :crybaby:

[Phenixone]

What about creating a sub forum named "GH2vk: The GH2 Firmware hack" when the patch comes up?
We wouldn't want to have the two Firmwares hack mixed up too much as each will be specific to its own model of camera.

[adammada]

the hack is already there: PTool 3.60 . . .

+1 for gh2vk
