Hasn't crossed my mind. Damn. Goosebumps damn.
Somebody should shoot this, and substitute the GH13 for something like a cure for some deadly outbreak or some supercomputer movie thing that makes viewers go aaaah. Just pimp out every single emotion that happened here. Wacky idea, but it's material, that temporary goodbye the breakthroughs the theories, all that. Fun stuff.
And you find out in the end that the main character (based on tester13) is part of the system it looks like he's been hacking all this time.
I mean, it'd be a movie, so it could end any way you like.
And if someone does get the crazy idea to shoot this sequence of events and tweak around and have fun with it, have tester13 write the ending for funsies, it'd only be fair, and that much more badass.
I don't know about yalls (did I say yalls?) but movies for me is so I can make up ALL my own endings, the fiction of it gets me off. It's daydream city. And the amount of emotions I've felt here with this thread are 35mm worthy
It's silly, but yeah, if he were panasonic, that would be one sick ass twist at the end of the film.

Hmm, I'm not a marketing expert, but these two cameras seem to be in such different categories (and pricepoints) that sales cannibalization is probably a very minor concern.

Concerning the comedy/drama/tragedy/triumph aspects of the GH1 firmware hack epic here on DVXuser, the film it most reminds me of is Monty Python's "Life of Brian". :cheesy:I would have liked to have seen Tester13 change his name to Ivan Vanko(Iron Man 2 reference)

I hope so, too. From Panasonics point of view (after the GH13 movement) they would be better off to announce the GH2 ASAP. Who would buy a GH2 if it only could deliver 24 Mbit AVCHD, whereas the GH13 can do so much more...:happy:?
Warranty.. yes. But stabilty? The original GH1 codec broke apart, whenever you moved the cam too quickly. NOW with the patch its fixed....

If your friend really knows, he wouldn't be able to tell you anything without violating some kind of corporate non-disclosure agreement. So he doesn't know any more than anyone else.
Soonest I'd look for a GH2 announcement would be Photokina in September.

Realistically these bodies are pretty darned cheap anyway. Invest in a kit or buy one off ebay for $500. Keep the lenses and when the "2" comes out sell the "1" body and trade up. I don't see the "2" being THAT much sexier then "1" anyhow". They'll reserve all the sexy for the AF100.
