My reference # didn't even work in UPS (completely in the dark) but I did surprisingly received my camera today. I also ordered on Dec 1st, so hopefully you'll get yours today Barry.
After playing with it for a hour or so I can't help but think that this should have been the GH1. Although the GH1 was a great camera in its own right, it had obvious downfalls like wrapping in 1080i, banding, 17mbps, no audio monitoring, etc. I understand that profit margins rule and Panasonic probably made much more money doing it this way (also the technology might not have been there yet) but if they would have came out of the door with this camera, they would have stole the DSLR filmmaking market, which seems to be fixated on Canon only. IMHO
P.S. Pretty clean footage even 1600 ISO from what I can tell so far.
