NEW 1024x768 HD Monitor

Hi Luis,

Any updates on moniitor delivery? I've not heard anything since I ordered two months ago. Please PM me.

By the way, you should update the homepage and say that the lead time is now much more than 4-5 weeks.

Looking forward to see the monitor! Everything I've read about it so far has been super positive!

All the best
Lars

Luis, I sent e-mail to you two times.
Did you get it?
I used luis@lsdsgn.com and luis@silo23.com.
Actually, I asked total price for TCHD-01c, TC hood, TC-BP(for canon battery), Shipping fee and tax(to new york).
In addition, How long can tekkeon battery(MP3450+3450-10) use with that LCD monitor?

I love the tekkeons, while I don't know the exact running time I can say that they are very nice to use with the Carrion, MUCH better than dual Panasonics... not too sure about the model and price either, but Luis knows everything about them I am sure. To mount them all you need is a little imagination, velcro works great for putting them on the back of the monitor or rubber-bands to get it on the rails... I want to buy the rubber mounts for dual Tekkons but I don't think they are in production yet... either that or the Micro Pod from RedRock and a pair of V-Mount or Gold Mount batteries... that with like 26" Zacuto rails (12" + 7" + 7") would be the best, add an Zacuto arm and the RedRock grips and shoulder pad and MB! Add a n HPX-170 and that's my perfect personal dream rig. No compromises at all, only the best gear out there.

Ordered but no contact.

Ordered but no contact.

I ordered a Carrion B 5 weeks ago and have not been able to get any information on my order. I called but couldn't leave a message since his mailbox is full. Emailed and PM with no responce. Is this normal from luis? I 'm getting a little nervous having paid over 2K for this monitor and not be able to get any communication with Luis.
Anyone else have this problem?

He's honest, I saw his assembly area myself. Just hound him and tell him you paid 5 weeks ago and that means you deserve your monitor :-)

He is busy right now, but aside from a delayed delivery you have nothing to fear.
Not sure what he is up to but you could tell he had his hands full.
He might be shooting.

It is a shame that he doesn't have any help with this project but you have to realize that we are getting monitors at half off, so a little wait is not something we can complain about too much. However, having your money in his hands and not hearing back from him for a while would freak all of us out at least a little. But don't worry about your money, it is safe and you will get what you wanted... I am sure he'll apologize about it too... probably didn't even notice your money is in his account if that's the case. Hope he get's back to you asap, I'll let him know if I talk to him.

Well there ya go, he didn't pick up my call but he replied to my text. I bet he is shooting a project. He said he'd look at it tonight and asked for the post number and link to the page in the thread so that he can easily get in touch with you.

Thanks guys. I’m feeling more reassured. Waiting for something that is a good product at a good price is not the problem Uslatin. I’m still waiting for my matte box from redrock. It’s the communication thing that got me spooked not knowing if he even got the order. What can I say I’m a talker.

Luis WILL NOT run away with your money under any circumstances. He just required a bit of patience. He is a real shooter and not a 100% business man, so he is always getting caught up with helping others with their projects.

Slightly off topic at the moment- but can anyone who owns one tell me if the monitor will actually squeeze the image to a 2.35:1 aspect ratio?

Ouch, well three months sucks... It must be like blue balls. I wish you would have gotten a reply. If it helps I know that Luis was very busy with his short O2 for the first DVXuser film festival. Which they gladly took first place on. Very cool, but unrealistically swamped. I am sure you will, hopefully soon, get your CARRIONs and be flipped out of your minds with it. I am completely sure that everyone that knows him will say that you have nothing to worry about.

No. But what you'd want is a crop. Not sure if that's something possible with software updates? But he'd have to raise the price to pay for the code that would have to be written and tested. That would be awesome, but instead add bars for all formats in a scroll menu and each of them would have overscan marks too! That would be the CARRION-x !!!

No, actually I don't want a crop. I'm using a 2x anamorphic lens on a DVX, so I do need a squeeze. Yeah, I know it's really a 2.66:1 aspect I'm getting, but if I could view 2.35 somehow externally for framing it would be really helpful for my purposes. And dammit, I really hoped this would work.

But thanks for the info on the monitor anyways.:)

oh, nice... yea, well I think that might be harder than just code... you would have to involve some sort of conversion board... that might not be possible at all and a lot more money to develop even if the hardware resources were available...
