GH2 Pre-orders

Well I got an order in while it still said 1-3 days and paid full price so we'll see what happens. Somehow my shipping options got changed and my sales tax got reduced to 0 (it wasn't initially) so I am a bit worried about my order...
 
Well missed the boat on the discount as the link does say "Not Available Direct from Panasonic". Maybe karma will come back around but I feel bad for those who didn't get a chance to order.
 
I will say that it is VERY frustrating to those of us who pre-ordered more that two months ago.
I saw the link earlier in the day but got called away for a while only to return to a "not available" screen. And I have the 14-42 kit ordered because the body only wasn't available at the time.
Perhaps someone who got one today will cancel their order at Amazon and I will move up the queue.

I cancelled from Amazon... TWICE - you're up a couple of spots...

(I was one of the unfortunate souls who ordered too early and got deleted...)
 
So anyone's order actually shipped? I'm kind of nervous if they started canceling EPP order because of Slickdeal. I used my actual work email.
 
I ordered 12:20AM 12/3. Got confirmation e-mail. But my order doesn't show if I log into Panasonic.com. Haven't received a cancellation e-mail. How does this jive with others who got the $630 GH-2? Does your order show on the website? Any other e-mails since your confirmation e-mail? Thanks:-)

I ordered on 12/1 but didn't get email. When I logged into web status yesterday it didn't show any order but it shows up today. It takes about a day to show up, my credit card has a hold from Panasonic too but not sure if this means it will ship soon. I heard on Dpreview web site that some people got canceled. I bought these legitimately with my actual work email for EPP.
 
I took a chance and cancelled my 2 week Henry's order (thankyou Henry's) for something closer to home in Vancouver, putting me first in line. My gob was completely smacked when I found that Leo's Cameras has also already shipped GH2s and is expecting another shipment within a week - 10 days. Kit = $1,536 Can + tax.

I just picked up a GH2 body only version at Henry's north of Toronto this evening. They had only one in stock. They also soldout 2 kits the same day. I will be checking it out against my GH13 this weekend.
 
I got my tracking number. The camera shipped out on 12/3. The tracking number is listed on the website order status page.ordered on 12/1 at about 1:30PST with a legit EPP.

It ships from Cerritos near LA.

Did you do next day or ground?
 
Panasonic CS system is the worst I ever seen for a world class company. I just called at 10:36am ET and after giving my order # it says sorry we are closed but call back at normal business hours after 9am ET on saturday !

It is a strange corporate reality. Panasonic engineers makes excellent products across the board. Their CS sucks. Their marketing and distribution seems to be subpar. With such an excellent camera, Why can't they get it in Best Buy, Sears, Target etc? In my city, no major stor caries them. Maybe a G10 or GF-1. Not even Fry's?
