Open is very important to getting the most rounded and feature filled software quickly.
The more heads, the more intelligence. I want to get into it myself as soon as the gh2 stuff is go.

Guys, we are approaching new phase of hacking project.
Open databases for all cameras. I'll open all documentation that I have.
With dedicated site, wiki, and developers forum.

But we need some money for scripts licenses (it'll be mostly forum and various plugins) and hosting, about $400.

As soon as we'll have required funds we'll start new phase with few surprises

How is the GH2 looking now? I know there's no firmware yet, but has anybody been able to desolder/dump the chips directly?

Desolder/dump will be next phase.
We have all necessary knowledge.
But we don't have many skilled people.
And this requires quite large amount of funds.
I'll make details available after some time.

I found out that the UV filter is causing the unusual lens flares. Sorry, I still don't have any image to show but soon I can post a comparison video with UV and without it. It's so clear that UV filter is the cause. Thanks everybody...

If you mean MJPEG hacks, this hacks are almost ready, and we'll need some testers soon.

I don't know. Anyway, all donations will be going to our next goals. They won't be lost.
Right now they are not required, as I need to prepare tools, modify some of them, make some docs, finish processor module for IDA 5, etc

I wish you could hack the af light to the other side of the body? 50% of the time, my hand is reflecting it back into my face. people without hands the size of minature elves could then use an overhand grip on the lens instead of a elbow squashing underhand grip.
