Yea, WRAL is great for some things put some of their shots are pitiful. Do you have a hacked GH1? I am looking for a hacked GH1 to test against my GH2 when I get it. The owner of the GH1 I have access to will not allow it to be hacked. Just wondering if anyone local to me would want to do some head to head comparisons with the GH2.

Unfortunately no, I only use a 7D at the moment. I do have an AF100 on order though that I will be testing heavily against my 7D to see how much better it is!

I would think a connected GH2 + Ninja is a much smaller package than typical run-and-gun Betacam news or HDCAM cameras and even most professional video cameras.

Yes I know its 17mb 1080 and probably shot IA but c'mon...its just not good....I was hoping for panasonic to learn from the GH1 it really dont look it.

It must be regional, I hear people around here in NC calling it Run and Gun.
Maybe we are just being invaded by the Brits here in Raleigh. I agree I hear Run and Gun a lot.

"Run 'n Gun" has been the popular phrase here in Mississippi for at least 20 years. I'd never heard the phrase "Shoot and Scoot" before this thread.

Don't know about the hot shoe..would be great though
I'm even considering geting a personalized waterproof housing built to accomodate the gh2 and the ninja inside. That would be the best to shoot surfing.
720p at 17mbps doesn't sound very professional...why not little higher bitrates ?!!

So if the 24mbs is not good enough for some, who cares while we have the option of HDMI out to a Nano, Ninja etc. At least the option is there. That's better than the GH1 offered anyone. Recording pro-res or in 80mb long gop on Nano will produce insane results.
