Black friday is why i've been waiting. I've noticed since the 26th-27th of october B&H went from selling for $749 as kit package, to $899, to now $999 in less than a week and a half.

It's pretty frustrating, its like the price changes by the day.

I wish I would have looked the day the B&H sale was at $749, wish they'd offer that price again, its KILLING ME!

This all while panasonic direct is still running their same body only shipped sale for $719.00 (before tax)

They sell lenses on their site for $179, so even on top of the 719 it still comes out to $898 (same as amazon, adorama, and b&h as of 2 days ago, now those are all back to $999)

FML.
 
I paid $630 for my black GH2 body at Panasonic Direct last December and $375 for the GH1 14-42 kit in January. BTW I also got the Voigtlander Nokton 25 mm f/0.95 last December for $899.

U have a panasonic employee purchase account vs the facebook liking discount?

I read that its about another $45 off of the $719 at panasonic direct if u have a certain email address that panasonic somehow participates with to get that extra $45 off as the employee discount.

Anyone care to share their info to get that hookup?

And it sounds like I should just wait til end of year. $630 is a significantly lower price than currently

The Panasonic EPP $630 GH2 prices was only the first few weeks then in Dec 2010 and it went up after that. I just checked and the EPP price for the GH2 body is $674.96.

B&H Dropped their price to $799 as of today for Kit w/ 14-42 lens, so I decided it was time to pull the trigger. Should arrive in about a week! Can't wait!
 
Just pulled the trigger on a GH2 w/ 14-42 for $799. Price on the website is $999 and $799 when added to the cart. Also ordered a nice camera backpack. Can't wait to try out the GH2!
 
Wow. Well, the 14-140 Kit also dropped to $1199.95. If you're like me and you just recently ordered the GH2 at a higher price, just give them a call and they'll match the current price (30-day price guarantee). Gotta love B&H.
