GH2 GH2 Low Light Banding Issue

Hi guys,
I used my GH2 last night and was disappointed to come across a terrible banding issue. The following photo exhibits the problem (1/50, ~ISO640):

If it wasn't obvious, the setting is a bonfire. What could this be caused by? I even changed the shutter speed a bit, remembering what I'd read about the issue and it was still there. I've never seen this particularly glaring problem posted up, however, because it seemed to be worse when I lowered the ISO.

I've seen this problem when the GH-2 first came out on a Vimeo video with someone playing with fire (twirling and spinning etc). That video initially scared me away from the camera but I have not seen it in other videos since (not even in my videos).

Thanks, Ian. Do you remember the link/how did that person resolve the issue?

I own a couple GH2 cameras. I've never seen anythng like that.
Can you recreate thiis again?

I filmed and stopped the recording, tried again, adjusted, stopped recording as it kept occurring. So, I have a few shorts with it which I can link to you guys in a bit. It was over Thanksgiving break at my friend's house, so I'd have to start a fire in my backyard to recreate it (which I'll probably do also).

You don't say what kind of lens you were using. Was it a m43 or something with an adapter?

20mm pancake lens, no adapter.
