The GH2's display when it's in pause mode bears no resemblance to what gets actually recorded. The display during record mode is closer to what actually gets recorded, but still isn't accurate. I did a simultaneous record on the nano through the HDMI, and to the GH2's internal memory card, and found that the color was noticeably different between the two. You cannot see what the GH2's actually going to record by looking at its live output, you can only see it once you've recorded it and played it back.
and after this people still believe that this camera is so awesome? no way... this is f****d up. sorry
Yeah that is f up alright, I wish I have done more research before I bought it but for only $700.00 with a lens, I can live with it and will fix in post.
well, no, actually it doesn't. It is closer to what's being recorded than the paused display is, but it absolutely doesn't match whatthe recorded footage is. I posted a clip on vimeo that shows the difference. The color saturation is the main difference.spend a little and get yourself an external monitor, the monitor during record shows you EXACTLY what you recording.
