GH2 and Sturdycam at Medieval Market in Spain

Hello, last week i had the chance to finally test the gh2 on "real" action, i get too much footage of diferents performers/artist with diferent lenses and rigs, i will edit and post later.
Here is a video with the 14-140 lens and sturdycam, 24P, smooth -2 contrast, +2 saturation, 0 for the rest settings.

The song was epic, and I really thought at some point some acrobats or a juggler was going to pop up in the video. Made me think of a battle march before the 2 tribes go to war.
The sound was really good to. Pretty good for a one man show on audio.
The 14-140 really shined on the sturdycam. Ive been contemplating that stabilizer for a while but never seem to see it on ebay for sale and the website where it is sold is a little confusing to me.
Id like to see more of your shots on the GH2 and the sturdycam.
 
Nice. I think you could have benefitted from a good matte box, judging by the footage when you go into the harsh sun.
 
Thanks for the comments, i think the sturdycam + gh2 14-140 makes a great team, i finished editing more footage and i will upload to vimeo soon. OldCorpse, yes i need a matte box, that and a slider are going to be my next investment ;), and for the part in the harsh sun i think gh2 behave really good in cliping areas.

flinty, he was using a sturdycam, which uses your body as the center of gravity; eliminating all the usual issues with dslrs.
 
Very nice. I have the sturdycam too and it is great when you can get the balance right but it's a bit of a ***** sometimes to get it right. With the kit lens, stay fully wide and lock you focus to infinity, I saw some focus hunting and a little loss of center of gravity but other than that very nice work.

Hit the vimeo secret button though.
 
Blackout, sorry i forget to change the "secret" button, you can download now to watch it more fluid. Next time ill try to focus to infinity, you are right with the focus hunting in some parts.

thanks for your feedback! We actually need suggestions to always improve our job! So if you want to have ANY questions/suggestions (regarding website, product, balancing, whatever) please go ahead, that would be great for us!
 
I can confirm that while you might be a little confused at first, he has a skype account running and was immensely helpful in helping me with some issues I was having as well as sending out some extra spare parts and counter weights. +100 on customer service from the sturdycam folks. For the price, it was more than worth it and works rather well, but there IS a learning curve.
 
HVXguy, the audio was record with gh2 buildin mics, i only equalize it a little and apply dynamic compression in post.
