GH1 NTSC/PAL Switchable?

[plasmid]

I just realized that FCP has a "Conform 25 to 24" option which is instantaneous so really that's not even a step. Now, I'm actually hoping time2envy sends the PAL version. I should know Friday. They sent my UPS tracking number this morning.

Are the PAL versions sold by time2envy limited to 29min recording time
or are they unlimited like the NTSC versions?

Sorry, I never checked before I sent it back to them. It was a PAL camera with "PAL" written clearly on the box so I would imagine it's the same as any other PAL in the world. Unfortunately you can't simply call them to ask because they will lie without hesitation.

does anyone know if the PAL's 29 min recording restriction is hackable , or to rephrase.. has anyone heard of anyone hacking it?? and if all of us in the uk protest and write to our MP's ..will anything be done?? ( i know the answer to that) .. it seems we are being shafted here with this EU tax law.
