GH1, GH2 EVF Eyecup

rigs, when are you going to complete this? If it has a good quality, people would want it and you would sell hundreds if not thousands. We are talking about existing GH1 users and new GH2 users.

You design it and travel to China and let'em build it. Haha.

Sorry for the delay folks.
I have been on a 4 week production that wraps up at the end of this week.

As it stands now, I am not looking at producing a cheap quality made product. It has to be made right and to certain standards of quality. In the end it may cost more to have these produced then what I had originally anticipated. But I think most people would rather spend a little extra for a rugged solid eyepiece then just a plastic low cost flimsy one, that will not stand up to the daily rigors of shooting. I have been using a prototype of the EVF eyecup extensively over this last month and it has proven to hold up very well. I have used it as a stand alone piece with a bare GH1 and GH2, plus added it to my custom made cage and rig to add another anchor point and lock down the camera evern more to the cage.

I will have more details come Feb 1.

Thank you for your interest and patients

Its going to be another week before I can get back into this. I got put on another production late last week for my network. I will be back at it once SB45 is over.

I realize this may be a dumb question, but is the "hot shoe" hot? Meaning, is there the need to isolate the contacts from the eye cup attachment? When does a hot shoe get hot?

Thanks

:)

Hot only means that there´s some voltage on the contacts of the shoe mount by which commands are transportet between camera and flash.
On a cold shoe there isn´t as it is for pure mounting options.
So neither of both is getting hot during usage.

I am reminded of the montage from the social network where he avoids talking to the winklevi.
