Hmm. Yeah. Well I've been wanting to avoid it for now because of the price and it just doesn't seem very much like a film making lens. But how well do you find it cuts together with manual primes (if you use them). I thought it might look too sharp and video-y as some people describe it. If it was wider I would just plop down the money but not too sure about it right now. I know the 14mm one will be out soon but that is even more pricey I believe. 400 ish. At that price I'd rather hold out for the tokina 11-16. But do you have any sample work which mixes the 20mm and manual primes? Thanks.
EDIT: Just watched a bunch of test footage from the 20mm. I think I'm sold. It's pricier than I wanted and not as wide but I think the 1.7 and AF for pics makes it worth it. It seems to look worst in daylight stopped down, just in a sort of bland way (whereas older lenses might have more character). Many lenses look that way though I suppose. I'll be using old zeiss glass for my other primes and it looks like it will match well enough. Now I just need to find a cheap used copy. Let me know if u are reading this and have one.
