GH1 firmware research volunteers required

GH1 1.22 and GH1 1.32 full databases will be released quite soon.

So, any interested developers can start requesting personal keys.
Send email to info @ pentax-hack . info with title "GH1 reversing".
As usual, I need you real name and photo. Real name will remain private.
If you already have your keys, you must make request again, as we revoked old ones.
 
As promised I am starting to adding various information (see link above).

It'll take time, as it requires editing.

As I said, we really need developers hands.

Even if you do not have GH1, remember that most information and knowledge will be transferred to G2, GH2, GF2 or G3.

I do suggest that you add a service called ... to your forum and wiki, such that donations may be made by a single click on a button.

Thank you for your effort so far - I do look forward to a hack for the GH2 camera to unlock its full potential, such as AF-tracking also when in movie mode.

I'm sure the answer to my question its somewhere in the forum, but I cudnt find it..

Im about 2 get a new GH1, will it be any issues with the manufacturing date, I mean the actual version firmware of my GH1.. read that somewhere. so im concerned
Does ptool hack all versions of gh1 .. no matter what
 
Sorry guys, digged deep in PHP, MySQL, CSS and such things (that I am not good at :) ) in last days.
I hope to release GF1 and G2 databases in this week.
And as soon as all will be ready we will be moving .

Again, we are searching for really good PHP coders who have free time.
 
I know a a little PHP, but not nearly enough to help you out, i guess.


Just open a donation for the PHP part of your tasks, so you don't have to waste your time on it.

It mostly depend on other developers right now.
They have all data, all tools.

If I'll have some time we'll add few things in the future.
 
I'd also be interested to hear any of the testers thoughts on whether a 4:3 mode is viable, and whether anyone has had any joy with modifying the sensor mode 4 adjustments to record an increased sensor height and decreased sensor width that could be used with anamorphic lenses?
 
Vitaliy, you said that the discussion about hacks has moved to the other site. Do you mean gh1-hack.info? Or is there a new forum?

I would like to know what programmers think: are more improvements to the gh1 possible or is the request of the hacked gh2 so big that no one is really working on the old gh1?
How many developers were interested in the gh1-firmwarehack since you started the new site?

Should a GH1 User hope for further improvements or has the gh1-hackproject died the day the gh2 came out? Or have we already pushed the GH1 to its limit, is there no possibility to make the adjustments on the wishlist? (Like variable ETC-mode, AGC disabled)
 
Any news or rumors about DMC-G2 firmware hack???
And is there any limit about the serial numbers with G2?
