C100: Getting my hands on 2 cinema lenses for a week

Thanks. Any chance for a more complex answer? I guess other than the internal codec, the ergonomics, the LCD and EVF differences....are there any other benefits for the C300 that contribute to the actual quality of the video? If I took a C300 and C100 and hooked ninja recorders to both, had the same lenses on both and used the identical settings.....would the C300 have some additional benefit over the c100 in regards to image quality?

no, identical quality. Only difference is minor additional settings for custom profile parameters in the C300.

I have the 35mm and the 85mm. cine versions. They are very good and I'm keeping them both. I'm waiting for the 50mm. Please..... Soon.....

Erik,
The Rokinon lenses you mentioned, are they designed for full-frame or S35 cameras. Do they have an EF mount? Is there a crop factor when using the lenses with the C100?

The Rokinon lenses are full frame and available in Nikon and EF mount. Crop varies depending on camera used.

Here are two graded frame grabs with the 85mm.

The Canon Cinema prime CN-E85mm is one sweet lens. Sharp but kind of dreamy and the mechanics are really great. Look at the bokeh! on the dancer with the snake. Cant wait to show you guys the video.

Full resolution can be seen here.

Great review Erik! Would love to get my hands on these for some nature shooting. I have to ask though, what picture profile did you shoot the snake dancers with! It looked AMAZING!

That would have been great if they did have interchangeable mounts. I'm hoping to get my hands on the new Schneider Xenon FF-Primes next month.

You nailed the fireworks! The sound was good too. Great point on the glass surface size, I didnt realize that.

Now we need a cp2 vs canon lens shootout!

Nice review Eric and a great shoot! I got word from the Duclos email. Those are some great images you're getting there with those 11 blades.
