Getting Close to Perfection....

Wow, that looks fantastic. I wish I could use Andromeda with a Firestore FS-100, and not have to use a laptop hooked up all the time.
 
Couldn't make it through...Took at least 30 mintues to load half of it...Nice tho, great colors, god...
 
Well I'm totally impressed by the clarity. Wish it was something more interesting than dvd cases.

Are you going to share the secret?
 
It's true - great footage of the most boring subject material imaginable.

Especially considering your other footage is pretty darn interesting (especially the Nascar stuff).

I'm just teasing :) There is a method to my madness with the DVD cases... Lots of popular DVD's that people can actually pick up and look at and compare to ;)

I'll show you something better later, and remember... BETA testing ;)

Come on. DVD cases create a sense of tension only known in the Godfather movies. :Drogar-Vampire(DBG)

I would NOT recommend HDV... blah. No freedom as far as I'm concerned, but then again, it depends on what you want to do to. I'm seeking very clean footage with lots of color and saturation options. The DVX100 Andromeda has range, but I find you get cleanest results by sacrificing some of that, especially the bottom end, its noisy, and thats a sensor deal. No matter how high your bit depth goes with uncompressed recording, you'll never get anything better than what the analog signal from the chips is actually putting out. The only way to make the footage better than what I'm currently pulling out of the system is probably new sensors. 12 linear is coming sometime down the road, so thats gonna be sweet, but I'm not expecting more range, just better color and smoother tonal transitions, both worth the extra bit depth, oh, and I won't have to make compromises with any record LUTs anymore :)
