Funky time code numbers show up in the FCP P2 import window

I was importing a bunch of clips in FCP and where it shows the time code for each clip as youre about to import them, one clip had jiberish numbers in the place of the time code. That one clip didn't import and it said it was corrupt.

Anyone else have this happen? Maybe I should try HD Log or something else to import it?
 
FCP 5.0.4 and 720p 24 easy setup. It's only happened a couple times. Here's what it looks like when importing.

Have you actually imported any of the clips with the wonky timecode numbers? Like is it okay after you import it into FCP? Or is the timecode of the MOV files created also peculiar like it shows in the dialogue window? If you haven't, I'd certainly try that. It could just be some kind of weird hiccup w/ the way the importer is reading that clip.

I would also recommend the crossgrade to FCP 5.1 and updating to FCP 5.1.1. That fixes a number of issues with P2 and is not just related to Intel machines. Apple has totally mishandled this crossgrade from a lack of adequate information about the true need for everyone to crossgrade all the way to its fulfillment mechanism. Nonetheless, it is the only Apple and the only FCP we have, so we (read "i") just need to learn to get over it. But do crossgrade.

No, these clips wont import, says theyre corrupted. I also tried to open the MXF with P2 Log, but it wouldn't playback the file. So im assuming it's the file that's corrupt.

i have the same problem now, and i tried everything possible (for me)

in fact, in my case, it's a little bit easier.
i have funky timecodes in a hole content file.
and that's the reason why FCP 5.1.2 doesn't recognize it, i think.
even Avid Xpress Pro doesn't read it.

if there's any solve, please let me know too!!!!!
