FS7: FS7 matching AMIRA

I wish we could have gone back in time and had the one year younger Bert come out with these closer to the FS7 release. I have NEVER used a 3rd party LUT exclusively, but BertLUT just lives on the FS7 now as a monitoring LUT. FilmLike is my favorite. One of my main clients uses it exclusively for baked in looks and loves it. For baked in, it's incredible.

i noticed if you take out a slight bit of blue channel from LC709a which I always did, you get something ballpark to BertLUT. LC709a is still pretty though, just not as nice.

Martin.. if you don't mind me asking.. where are putting your skin tone levels.. 90% white.. ..

I put white on 60% zebras. But on this particular shoot, the white cards i brought turned out to be reflective, and useless. They reflected the sun so the white lever changed drastically depending on the angle from the sun i held up the card in. Amazon is not always a good source for photography gear.

So exposure needed to be adjusted on most scenes in this little bonfire film.

This is the finished film, but with Filmconvert, not the Amira lut.

Have to agree, beautiful piece.

Could anyone post raw stills with some skin tones of pure slog3 and same with bert's lut applied?

Bert told me to put caucasian skin at 65 IRE.

What is the ideal white level for the Bert LUTs?

Edit: Just tested with setting exposure to 61% on s-log 3, enabled the LUT and brought the zebras up to the same area as 61% s-log 3. The zebras rested on 80% and covered the exact same area as 61% slog.

So can others confirm 80% is the white level for BertLUT?
