FS-100 after update download problem

In a rush to get to location with time runnng out I failed to test my new updated 720n FS-100. When I fired it up and hit record the 111 minutes went to 264. Wonderful. The problem came in when I tried to download it through my Power Book Pro on to my Lacie Harddrive (650G of space remaining). Before the update I would go into FCP, hit Files, Import, P2 and a window would pop up. Then I would on the FS-100 "Organize Reel", "Organize P2", "Repair Disk" ( I am not sure all these steps are necessary) and finally to "DD Drive" and click "Enable" and a thumbnail would pop up that I could drag into a window for downloading. Now all I get is something that says "fs42006 "(or whatever) with no thumbnail and no download. The FS-100 did record. I was able to link direct to it by FPC to "Files", "Import", "files" hit "OK" and up would pop the thumbnails on the FCP "pallet" (upper left hand corner window) but of course would dissapear if I disconnected the FS-100. In other words it was being read direct off the FS-100 and not downloaded.

I am here unable to show my results of yesterday to my clients. Today I will carry on without the use of the Firestore and instead use "Log and capture" in FCP and direct load on to the Lacie drive. Anyone got a path I could use for the downloading of the FS-100?

Thanks

Organize Reel does nothing in P2 mode. Repair Disk should only be used when you have a real problem with corrupted clips. Don't run those anymore.

The fs2006 should be a Volume inthe P2 Import window with a disclosuer triangle you can click to expose the clip list.

I'm also going to guess that you recorded in QuickTime mode and not P2 mode. In which case your files are QuickTime movie files, and the P2 Import window will do you no good. They're already converted. Just import them into the Browser directly and edit.

Thanks Ben and David. I finished up my project with using "log and capture" in FCP. The 15 foot cable for the camera download proved very useful for moving the camera around on the set without moving the laptop and Lacie terabyte HD.

I was having problems with the download so I decided to wait until I got back to Minneapolis and have the folks at CineQuipt show me the path.

OK I got a new problem with the FS-100.... It died. It will not powerup. I push the on button and nothing. I have tried everything incuding changing the batteries and putting it on the charger. I didn't drop it or get it wet. It worked last Friday. I put it away and tried again to do the download Sunday night and it wouldn't come on. I don't see a reset. So I guess it goes back to the factory.
