French Flag Sunshade

Hello everyone. I had two old Matteboxes laying around in my studio. They did not work very good with my new cameras Canon XHA1 & Canon XLH1, So I took the French Flag off of the old MatteBoxes and drilled two small holes in the camera's len shade put small screws & nuts to attach the Flench Flag to the lens shade. I test it today and it works fine. The French Flag did not get in the way of my shot. I could pull all the out with the Canon Wide angle lens and Canon's 6XHD lens. This is a good way to stop unwanted light. The only thing there is no place to to hold 4X4 filters.

Thanks ecking. I still have to paint the screws black to match the Sunshades. Other than that it is fine.

If it helps you out, great. But that is not going to be good for your resale value. If you have old Matte boxes laying around you should offer them in the marketplace here. People are always looking for a cheap matte box, including myself.
