For Married people only.

I doubt I'm the first (or last) single person in here who is not married.

There's something wrong with that sentence but I'm not sure what.

Anyway, back to your non-married presence in the thread...

NYAAAEEEEEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAYYYAAAAA!

I'll try and make one last stab at explaining things to non-married, non-parenting people who don't understand why you'd want to do either. I may skate the borderline here as all my best analogies seem to be about sex...A lot of girls don't understand what the big deal is about intercourse the first few times they have it. It hurts, they feel violated, and there's this gross, sweaty, hairy thing on top of you...but then they have the big-o and it's suddenly all worth it. If you're looking at marriage and parenting from the outside, all you're seeing is the pain, and the heartache, and the hassle. You're not going to feel the big-o unless you're actually in there personally...Clear enough?

NYAAAEEEEEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAYYYAAAAA!

One of the most chilling endings to a movie, ever. Still gives me chills.

We watched both versions in a film class in college. A few days later, I had a nightmare wherein I was surrounded by body snatchers. All my friends and acquaintances, everyone.

I told a good friend who was in the same class about this and he thought it was hilarious. Until, that is, he experienced the same nightmare. He came back to me and said, "You were right. It was scary!"

The rare remake that is at least as good as its original, and rarer still is that both versions are pretty good movies.

Yep.

To be honest, I ventured into this thread to see if it's all the pain, and the heartache, and the hassle form I've always seen it take (we're talking dozens upon dozens^3 marriages I've seen in my short lifetime). Little here to change my thinking 'cept for your posts :)

No doubt I have been lucky but the last twelve years of marriage have been great. Like an extended date, with benefits. We haven't been making an effort to avoid kids for some time, but it hasn't happened and I can live with that.

Well, I scored today and I think I pulled something in my back. I'm personally holding Battuta, Max, Rice, ramsey and especially Charli responsible. :)

I think Max Batutta R R Charli Johnson sounds better. Mostly because whatever Batutta is, it sounds like the kid will have the maximum amount of it possible.

Make sure you spell "Charli" without the "e" at the end.

On our two marriedless friends, what you know is a "freedom" to come and go whenever you want, do whatever you want, however you want.

We married people know a "freedom" in going, coming WITH THE SAME PERSON for years, a company that cannot be described but only experienced. What we know is a "dream" that we never ever want to awaken from.

I vote that battuta's sig line be the: The Big-O... I'm just saying.

For those not with children yet; here is whats waiting for you...
