For Married people only.

If you're making honesty and clear communication central to your marriage, I believe you're on precisely the right track...

...the partnership angle is vital. The way we put it is if you see one of us, it means the other is sneaking up on your flank...

I know I'm talking from the perspective of being married for 8 months, but I hope our sex life is just as frequent and hot ten years from now as it is today.

Get back to us when you have a toddler or two running around in your life.

I'm not saying that I can't go back to the way it was but expect a lull in-between. :)

Sex in marriage should be frequent and free, meaning free as in feel you have freedom to express yourself fully. It seems so many people don't have the right perspective on sex in marriage. I know I'm talking from the perspective of being married for 8 months, but I hope our sex life is just as frequent and hot ten years from now as it is today. I have a feeling it will be, because we'll be more and more honest with each other in everything, including the bedroom.

I think that study mentioned was accurate, usually a married couple on average has sex 3-4 times a week, and a man in that relationship "handles it" (trying to be appropriate) 4 more times during that week. So truly it seems like sex should be an every day thing, if possible, in marriage.

Brandon, you're ignoring the fact that it's not just about "feelings". There is biology involved. We get older. Bodies change. Affection should be frequent and free, but that doesn't always need to involve sex. Just because you have it less, doesn't mean it isn't still "hot". As a matter of fact, there is something to be said for delaying gratification, as it makes the actual gratification that much better.

The way we put it is if you see one of us, it means the other is sneaking up on your flank...

If you figure out how to open doors, we are all in trouble.

Many things in life come and go over time - and of course marriage has a huge impact on all these things. As said above, your are both in it for you & each other. If you both happy, then it's all good.

*doorknob rotates back and forth*

Knowing what the future holds is probably a lot less important than being willing to work together to deal with it, whatever it may turn out to be.

For us, anyway. The family that hunts together...:)

Really, though, my wife will sometimes suddenly jab me in the ribs, point, and say something like Wow, look at her! *I'd* do her! That kind of confidence in a woman is very attractive.

To which your response should be, "as long as I can watch!"

Late to the game here, but my wife is pregnant and has felt sick for the past, oh ... too long.

So no, that roadway is currently closed.

Wow... great thread...VERY interesting.
I mean, damn, I'm 49, divorced for 12 years and even I'm 'getting it' more than twice a month!! Ever hear of "Low-T" Richard? ...or Las Vegas? :Drogar-Happy(DBG):

You guys have just made my day!

...and in reading this, I guess I just wore the old lady out because as a married man with 2 small children, we enjoyed each other at least 5 times a week. The kids have to sleep some time...right?

I guess what worked best for us (until everything went to hell), was to have a 'date night' once a week. That let us be together without the pressures of the kids...just for a bit...made a big difference.

I'm hoping that once the little Teflon's get here, that will still be pragmatic for us.

Seems a widespread practice. I know several couples with young kids who have set up that kind of schedule, and swear by it.

Date night, eh?

LMAO! I was in vegas by myself last april and it was the single most crazy 3 days I have ever had in my life. I did not get down....but lord knows I could have. :Drogar-Kriz(DBG): In these years I find it so much easier with one. I don't have to watch my phone, lie, and all the other stuff that goes along with stepping out. It aint easy sometimes. I think most of us have a "in case of an emergency, Break glass" vagina. and what the hell is a "Low-T"? or do I wanna know?

Same here - I keep winding up on location in places teeming with available women in bikinis and on vacation...and I find I'm actually not interested in cheating. Why roll the dice on spoiling a good thing?

we both have found out the hard way that the grass is greener on this side of the fence. Playing Penis Craps is not something anyone should be doing nowadays. Way too dangerous.

But dammit it is tough. Bikinis, vacation, and available are three words I never want to see in the same sentence.
