Fire!

Sunset!

Sunset!

I wasnt able to get any pictures, anyone got anything from tonight, it was an insane color pink (Prob from the fires)

He's right. Speaking as a person who has been through a house fire and lost much from it...not really a joking matter.

Having said that, Rescue Me is on.

I laughed my way through bootcamp; its just my style.

I'm a native and have family being evacuated from their homes, so ... well ****; if I didn't laugh I'd probably cry.

Just keeping things light kids.

DVX bootcamp?

I know, levity does help...like I posted earlier, we went through fire, a few deaths, and huge financial loss over here in 2005-2006, and people always ask how I manage to stay sane.

Being half insane to begin with helps, and realising that there are some things beyond your control helps too. That's why I advised people who are being asked to evacuate to just do it....that personal possesion stuff hurts like hell to lose...but making sure loved ones are ok, including oneself, is top priority.

Financial loss is nothing compared to human loss.

Having said that...will insurance companies honor policies in this case, or is this some AOG type thing that they use to squirm out of paying people with?

DVXBOOTCAMP; LMAO

Interesting points DeSica

Mt father was evac'd 48 hours ago, and my brother told me just hours ago that he used his connections to get back to his house (in an evac zone)

He was SDCSD for 22 years

Shiot

Given my last 14 months on this planet; levity is all I have left. When that goes, I know I'm screwed.

Any word from FEMA yet? They are still sporting a black eye from Katrina...this is going to get real interesting.

For those of us in the LA area:

Y-Fire (Acton): Contained
Buckweed Fire (Santa Clarita): 80% Contained
Magic Fire (Stevenson Ranch): 93% Contained
Canyon Fire (Malibu): 15% Contained

Those are the closest ones and except for Malibu they seem to be relatively under control. Tomorrow is supposed to be another hot day, but they say the wind peaked today.

I hope those of you in San Diego are staying safe.

Not sure... all I know is the fires around my area are all but completely extinguished... I hear it's another story in San Diego.
