Final Cut Pro 7 --> Wishlist

Support for AVC-HD. (AVC-Intra is already supported, I believe).

Support for nVidia and ATI graphics card's onboard AVC hardware acceleration.

ability to dock all the windows together and resize them in relation to eachother (like in Premiere) - drag the canvas bigger, other windows get smaller proportionally, drag timeline bigger, other windows get smaller. Helps for adjusting realestate on single monitor setups. Should be a menu item that can be checked on or off (docking together).

You can already do this if you resize a window by grabbing it along its X or Y axis (grabbing by the corner will make that window smaller/bigger, but won't effect the size of the other windows).

I was just going to bring up the Capture scratch... you should get a new one for each project.

... as an option...

the way it works now (a new folderfor each project in a general Capture Scratch for each drive) works really nicely for my typical workflows...

An "IMPORT OMF" feature would rock... being that the only way to import OMF's into FCP now is through a 500 dollar plug-in made by Automatic Duck.

- label track name (ie, I could label track 1 interviews, track 2 b-roll) - more helpful, though, for sorting lots of different types of footage into many tracks (ie sports: track 1 coach, track 2 sideline, track 3 offense, track 4 defense, etc)

- More labels to assign

- Ability to color code/label an entire track (as a track property; not a property of every clip in said track)

- double click on empty space in bin to open import window (like adobe apps)

Ability to select clip in timeline, then double click on filter in filters window to apply it to selected clip. Like in after effects. I find myself double clicking on filters in FCP after working in AE for a while.

I'd like a better bin view. I'd like a list like view with a window that previews the video clip selected. Sort of like iTunes.

8-core support would be nice.

*And* a time-rate stretch tool, seen in CS3, where you just grab the end of a clip (or begging), and drag to change speed to new length (rather than changing in-out point)... amazing tool!
Yeah... I think it's called "rubberbanding". They've even had it in Sony Vegas for a while. Would save a lot of time.

Ability to "click and drag" to enable/disable or lock/unlock tracks, or check/uncheck filters (like Adobe).
Oh, Lord, yes! I instinctively try to do that when I'm hiding a bunch of layers at once.

- Ability to Select WHICH filter to Copy or Paste when using Properties functions
You can copy all the filters to a slug, delete all filters you don't need, then copy that slug and do the "Paste Attributes" thing.

I was just going to bring up the Capture scratch... you should get a new one for each project.
You do get a new folder under "Capture Scratch" for every new project... which can actually be annoying. When I'm saving multiple versions, I end with with a bunch of folders in my Capture Scratch when I only need one.

I think it would be great to use AppleScript in FCP. Many points from this wishlist can be achieved with some automation, which, unfortunately, FCP lacks.

H264 PS3/ BLuray preset (high quality, variable bit rate, peak 39mbit, low 15mbit) exports for Compressor/Quicktime conversion in both 1280x720p or 1920x1080.

Agreed with the usage of the Nvidia and ATI internal AVC aceleration.
