Fight Scene Clip

Hello All ,

Yesterday I was in the house putting together my film resume and felt like shooting something. So I grabbed my gear and went over a friends house and we came up with something. Everything we planned out on the spot and here is a clip of a fight scene in it.

Note- This is all in camera audio and no Sound Effects have been added yet but they will. I just wanted to get a little feedback. Also note that i'm the only one with martial arts experience.

So without futher ado

thanks I just looked at the clip on youtube and I think they have it darker than it really is. Because it's bright enough on the regular file on my LCD monitor and production monitor

wolfy it was dark i couldn't see the faces but i liked the reality of it. not a whole lot of yelling and noise like a lot of people film. which fights usually don't have. kool! now did you choke him out or snap his neck

definately a pretty realistic fight between these two guys. The intensity was there, the realism was there, but lighting and camera work left much to be desired.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't mean SFX ( Special Effects ) What I meant to say what sound effects. I know it was dark but it really isn't that dark I have to figure out a way to show it without it looking so dark. I'm actually just going to choke him out. Him saying break the neck isn't actually a part of the scene it was the the camera man giving directions

I found it hard to watch due to your brightness issues, but most importantly, I think you should've had some music going to keep the intensity alive.

From my previous post I state that I didn't add any sound effects so that would include : Foley , ADR and last but not least "Music"

u dont need to put any cuts leave it like it is no cuts everthing is not MTV , it looks realstic , when usee things with ur eyes there no close ups , just make the lighting better so everyone can see uraudience can see.

ha! a fight scene with some grappling in it.... props

could use more light though and some CUs err something

Thanks man ! This was my first actual fight scene that i've done. I actually hate being in my own scenes because I'd rather lend my experience behind the camera then performing in front of it but I promise these will get much better

LOL, don't hate man! haha

Is your boxing movie starring some hot girls? Are they the same ones from Torn?

Antar,
The stuff looked pretty good. What type of martial arts do you do? Looks like maybe ju jitsu or aikido. I am a tae kwon do black belt. Doing it for about twelve years. Though I haven't practiced in the last two or so. Nice work. Can't wait to see more fight choreography from you.

I actually do Wing Chun currently but I didn't do any of that in the scene. I've been doing martial arts since I was 6. I started out in Tae Kwon Do then went to Karate then Kuk Sool Won and now I take wing chun. What funny is that the whole reason I started filmmaking in the first place was because I thought the fighting in a lot of peoples movies looked bad to me and I wanted to change that. So wish me luck :)
