Hi Everybody

I get a dilemma, I don't have a Field monitor yet and I was thinking about Sony CLM-V5. but I saw the Ninja wish as u know its a field recorder not a Monitor but u can give it that use to. so my Question is should I buy Ninja wish I can use as Recorder 10bit ProRes HQ, 422 Or LT & a Monitor or just buy A real Monitor Sony or Ikan or Marshal ... & SDHC cadrs???

thank you a lot in advance

Well, im are in the same place... if the atomos maybe support for 1:1 pixel macro there will be good for fast monitoring focus and the in the standard mode framing and action...

Hi Aksel,

The Ninja has a great monitor, but you should absolutely think of getting one anyway because of the vast improvement it would make to your video images. We are getting great feedback from users about the sheer quality of their material when they use a Ninja. Improser's suggestion for a 1:1 pixel ratio macro is a good one. I think this is probably possible with the Ninja but I would have to ask our developers. If we see enough demand for this feature we might put it in.

Hi Dave,

A great feature would be false color peaking for focus assist. Is that a viable upgradable option?

Also, check out this thread: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?244689-Gh2-hdmi. Seems like it's not worth it as a recorder for the GH2 (because of failings of the camera, not the Ninja).
Nope. Not true. Check out this link:

The camera might have issues but there is a post fix for some of those issues. There are already a couple of members using the Ninja with the GH-2.

I second that request! Can't emphasize enough how important it is to get reliable focus. And it's a problem with all DSLR's, not just the GH2.

Thanks for that suggestion. It's a possibility - but would have to take it's place in the line of all the other features we're looking at. By the way, we're doing some intensive testing with the GH2 over the next few days.
