C100: FD lenses on C100 & C300

Can you mount the old mechanical FD Canon lenses on a C100 and C300 body with an optional ring adapter? Is it there any sutable Canon FD/EF adapter in commerce?
Thankyou in advance for your reply.

FD lenses require an adapter with an optical element that degrades the image quality. Nikon lenses can be adapted for use with EF mount though.

Some FDn lenses can be converted to EF without the need for an glass adapter (not necessarily SSC mounts).
I shoot with vintage FD lenses on C300, they have some nice flare characteristics with new sensors.
They're generally lower contrast compared to modern lenses, but still sharp.
Build quality on FD's is solid vs. latest plastic lenses.
The other bonus is the longer focus throw.
See link below for lenses that are convertible to EF...

as i understand the guy asked about adopter , something that could be easily swapped ..... but that solution its not an adopter ..... it involves a removal of the original mount and setting up a new one... BUT still its a solution if u plan to use it just with EF cams...

also some tech issues involved : With the full frame sensor cameras some of the lenses get in the way of the mirror when it flips up. This occurs while nearing infinity focus. No damage is done and to unstick the mirror simply focus the lens nearer and the mirror will be released. To work around this simply use LiveView mode.

i also got my self several FDs : 85mm f1.8, 35mm f2.0 concave, 35-105 f3.5, 135mm f2.0 have not received it yet, but hope it will be nice on my C300, in any case i payed for all of them less then the price of 1 EF L lens

anatusa,
yes my suggestion did not involve optical adapters because from my experience, they are poor solutions that yield mediocre results on faster lenses.
The mount swap I did recommend for those specific lenses is reversible, and could be reverted to original mount if needed.
As you stated there are issues with mirror slap on full frame still cameras on shorter focal lengths,
but since his question was asked within a c100/c300 forum, there are no mirror slap issues to deal with.
The 35-105 f3.5, 135mm f2.0 are definitely nice choices. They can be converted and look great on a c100/c300, very sharp and great colors.
The 35mm f2.0 concave tends to have an element that turns it yellow, good for a vintage/experimental look.

Yes, my question was about C300 qnd C100. So they have no mirror, and I think that the conversion of the FDn mount may be a good solution. Thanks.

if say true after i did a quick test among the FDs that i bought my favorite is 35mm , its just perfect! i was surprised, real beauty! - a must have

35-105 - i did not like it at my 1st try..... thing is the minimum focus distance changes when u zoom! so lets say at wide end i focus to the object , but if i zoom in to the same object from the same distance ... i could not i had to step back .... its strange. ... but again it was my quick look.... i ll test it more, but if its so , i ll not be using it!

for now i have mixed fillings about 135mm and 85mm .... need to test it more!

Yes, in my experience the 35mm is crisp, with a nice look overall, natural focal length for s35.
The 35-105 zoom unfortunately is not parfocal, so you have to refocus every time you zoom in and out, also it doesn't doesn't really focus close like modern zooms.
