shot a few hours of 720 24pn. Set it up as a project in fcp 5.1 720 24p.

No need to use the frame rate converter?

The other question is this. Can I cut a clip reel and put it back on my card 720 24p. Then play out of camera component video?

You can record back to the card.

Also, using a soon to be released Raylight for the Mac utility, you can convert a sequence into a virtual p2 card ad copy it back to the card.

I realize you can record a timeline back to the card almost like you would tape.

But when you go back to the card. Is it going back 24p... or 60i

It is being recorded back to what your sequence settings are, except no pNative streams out firewire.

Your original post didn't mention anything about 60i.

Settings for the seq are 72024p.

I want to record the sequence back to the card then play out of camera on the rgb component to show a quick clip reel. on an hdtv.

Does no 24pn streams out of the firewire mean it gets recorded back to the card 60i when I lay my 24p sequence down/
