FCP MXF import problem

When i go to import my mxf files in to fcp not all of the shots appear in the log and transfer window. When I look at the contents folder on the drive it shows 5 clips abut when i open it in the log and transfer there is only 4. it does this with every card I try. Always one or two dont come through. The rest are fine.

i am on 6.0.1 the files were backed up using a pc laptop and the hard drives the cards were saved on is formatted NTFS. Each card is saved into its own folder with the lastclip files and nothing is changed or renamed.

Im lost. Help

I was refering to the external drives i backed up all of the footage on. They are seagate 250gb in an ams enclosure. i am connecting it to my mac via firewire 400. in the field i was using a raid 1 set up connected by usb2.

thanks

Interesting.

Has it ever worked correctly?

The Mac can read standard NTFS, but maybe something to do with the RAID 1 indexing.

Try copying the files from the external drive to the Mac first...then see if FCP recognizes the last one.

Get another drive, format as FAT32 - copy the data from the
NTFS drive. Then hook up the FAT 32 drive to the MAC.
MAC's sometimes have trouble reading NTFS drives.
