FCP Log And Capture Not Reading SD Card

i just got my new hmc 150 for christmas and i was getting some test footage on it just so i could mess around with it. but i go to log and transfer to put the clips onto my camera and my computer recognizes the card but wont show any of the clips in log and transfer? anybody know how i need to do?

thanks

What is meant by "i go to log and transfer to put the clips onto my camera?"

What version of FCP with what Mac and OS?

have you made sure the file architecture is right and you are doing log and transfer not capture for .mts file. Also make sure you move over your files intact dont ever mess with them. Send them over to another storage drive and see if that makes a difference as opposed to trying to read off of the card. You need to make sure you don't drill down to the .mts files themselves just go to the file private file or the avccam file. The best bet depending on your system is to get Imagine's ShotPut Pro or AVCCAM Viewer it works like magic for screening shots

Point FCP to the root directory of the card and not at any files in sub directories. If you copy the card to the HDD make sure you copy the entire file structure to a folder on your HDD and point FCP to that folder and not to files in sub folders.

What version of FCP are you using? FCP 6 or 7 should be fine, but if you are using 6 then make sure you installed all the updates.

FCP version is 6.0.6

Is this on an Intel mac? If not, you'll be unable to use FCP. If it's a macbook, it is not supported, but will work some of the time. I had a devil of a time on the old macbook, but on the macbook pro it's easy...
