Panasonic press release about feature film

Wow, that's pretty cool. I can't wait to see some footage.

I'm especially impressed that you shot a feature using the 17x7.6.

Once you understand the shortcomings of the lens you can deal with it. We used focus charts extensively to make comparable shots with less breathing. We would compose and then using focus charts determine how shallow we wanted to be and then convert that into a longer lens and set the camera there with the same images size. This cut down on breathing a lot.

Nice. Who produced this feature? Who ever it is they are smart. Shoot cheap with real actors. Good job. Cant wait to check it out.

Oh yeah, what kind of settings did you use if you dont mind sharing? (i.e. gamma, matrix, sharpness, ect.) This camera is fast as crap, how many watts were you throwing indoors on average?

Nice interview, just finished reading it.
I'm taking your P2 workflow tips to set - 1 card, red and green tape.
The K.I.S.S. principle - I like it.

I shot with cine-d, normal matrix, detail -3, master ped -5, chroma +3, coring +3, 1080i 24P

WHile it is fast we had a 3 ton lighting truck - just because its fast doesnt necessarily mean you should should dark - we usually shot for 5.6 unless we needed to control our DOF more.

thanks for the look

thanks man - we used 4 cards with this process and labelled the card A,B,C,D and logged that as well as using them in order - so it was nearly impossible to screw up because you would know before you cycled through the cards.

hi there smelni,

Would be awesome to see some footage!

I'm sure you guys used different types of mics, but what was the main boom mic used indoor, and outdoors for recording dialog?

thanks,
Derrick

There are some clips from the film in my reel - you can take a look at those.

Unfortunately I cannot post any other footage from the film yet.
