FCP 6, Color, and HVX-200

OK,

I need a bit of help with a project that I will be starting next month. I will shooting on a HVX-200, editing with FCP 6, and CCing with Apple Color. The final project will be put on regualar DVD. So, I have few questions so that this project may go as smoothly as possible. Some of the question may be very simple but bear with me.

1. I plan to shoot on the P2 cards of the HVX for DVCPRO HD. What are the advantages of shooting in DVCPRO HD instead of regular DV since this project is going to regular DVD?

2. What is the best way to get the DVCPRO HD into a DVD recordable format in FCP. Or will Compressor do it all for me?

3. What options do I have to monitor the CC? Should I down-res the footage and monitor on a SD production monitor?

1) Shoot HD; there is no reason whatsoever to shoot DV
2) Compressor
3) Matrox MXO to an LCD monitor such as ACD 23 (I use a Dell 2405) or a capture card to SDI monitor such as Panasonic LH1700

DVCProHD has twice the color information of DV25 and HDV, so if you are going to do CC, that's a big plus.

Your other option would be to shoot in DVCPro50, which also uses 4:2:2 color sampling and doesn't require resizing. However, you lose the ability to create a HD version down the road if you change your mind.
 
Mally is correct on the MXO.

Color requires the use of the "desktop video"... So you'll get an error message when you try to monitor with the Matrox
