FEATURE: Fathoms deep

I actually don't have rights to use the song. I'm working with a voice actor to make an official Teaser trailer for the film where I'll use some Bad Fathers music. They are a band we've chosen to do most of the tracks for the film.

On another note we're shooting B-roll and our final scene next week. We've gotten some shots from locations used in "Kill Bill" (The Wedding Chapel) and "Identity" (The 4-aces Motel and Diner)

It was a really nostalgic day of filming. Everyone was excited about the locations and we had a lot of fun picking up random shots in the desert.

Yes its done. I tell you it's a heck of a feeling watching those credits roll for the first time. :) we still have a lot of sound work to do and visual fx but the picture is 95% locked. Wow what a ride. I'll post more in a few weeks when something new happens, or you can keep up via the website.

I really liked the trailer. And the screen grabs look great. I hope it turned out good :)


Aside: I've noticed that there are more posts in threads like these when the content open to criticism is lacking. Perhaps you can take that as a sign of a job well done, at least with the trailer :D
 
Thanks you guys. We're in the process of sound designing and visual effects right now. The movie is almost done. Can't wait to share and see what happens.
 
Trailer does look awesome,... I was most impressed with the look of your characters - visually very impressive cast.

That brings up a good point and a notable discussion for dvxuser. I cast most of these guys with a specific look or nationality in mind. Specifically in one case the acting suffered but the look was perfect. Even with numerous pre-shoot readthroughs, and numerous takes, some of the stuff was unusable. We ended up cutting some of the scenes or parts of scenes in order to keep the picture quality.

Overall things worked out great and I'm incredibly happy with the movie but it was a lot of hard work and there are some cautionary tales I could share in those regards.

Theres a handful of scenes with these characters that are just mind-blowing. Can't wait to share.
 
A few more screengrabs. This is picture locked and in the hands of the sound designer. I got to watch a 3 min preview of his work and I'm sooooooooooo excited. I was getting bored with the movie after spending so much time with it but good sound just adds sooooo much to the picture its like a brand new movie to me.

Wish me luck. Looking forward to a Christmas completion.

ARRRRGGGHHH!!!! Darn you Pro Tools, with your nasty error messages!!!! Film is done and done. Just waiting for sound design.

lol it's actually really frustrating right now. I wanted things to be out of my hands for long but now that everything is done on my part and I'm just waiting on other people and other jobs I'm going crazy. I've been busying myself with making the official poster. It's looking sick!!! :) but the print shop screwed up the first print and I still had to pay for it. I'm going to go to Indy Printing from now on. www.indyprinting.com

I'll add the poster soon. Just want to show the hard copy to the cast first before it goes on the internet.
