FAT MONSTER FILMS presents "O2" ... Every. Breath. Counts.

I heard him scream... he's still out there somewhere... you bastards left him to die...

No...he's right here. Came to my door one day and asked me to hide him out for a while. I set him up in the basement with a computer, internet, bathroom, porn, bed and every day he comes up for three nice meals and a mid afternoon chat.

Joe... yes, that is in fact, Jupiter... and that was by far the most expensive shot in the film. I suggested that Mark use Venus... or even Mars... because Jupiter was twice as far. I thought Mars made perfect sense, since it IS the red planet... but Mark's friend Larry hated the idea... he said it was too cliche' and if we didn't go all the way to Jupiter it would compromise the story.

LIKE OHMIGOD SINCE WHEN AM I A COMMODITY TO BE TRADED?

Sex.

Brandon Rice.

I started at the ends and worked toward the middle viewing all the entries so I just caught this last night.

I now realize I have a long way to go to achieve the excellence in this film. best of the fest imho.

So, how can I be involved with the next FM production? let me know.

That would be most wonderful indeed! All you'll need is to get yo'self to an L.A. airport (preferably Ontario as it is only 5 minutes from the Monster Shack out here on the East side of the metro area -- but we bounce around the city so that LAX or any of the other airports will work). We'd be extremely honored to have you shoot with us. We're hoping that rascal Harris will make it out in the near term, too.

We have some interesting stuff in the works for the fall that you might want to come out for. Consider yourself invited and as we get closer I'll put you guys on the PM list.

You guys rock.

No, you'll just be invisible to them. :) The FM crew is like 2 miles from where I grew up, born in Pomona Valley Hospital.

unless of course you are fat and really pale. then the light reflecting off your body can cause retina damage to anyone who looks directly at you.

It is the part about "beach bums in bikinis" that has me hesitating....

Second viewing ...

I guess if this Fest had been 6:04, we wouldn't be having this conversation. The few shots of the ship's exterior seem too short and sweet.

I'm guessing (without freeze frame) that the ship had some damage?

I missed part of what was going on because the conversation was a little muffled. I finally got it.

What medicine was she injected with and why? Little too much 'Pulp Fiction' there with out a real explanation.

Last nit-pik ...

If they powered down all non-essentials, wouldn't that include the heat (Apollo 13)? Yet Trevor is hanging around in a tee shirt.

The ship's background noises really show attention to detail.

I'm gonna give it another look-see.

On a second viewing, I think that heat is the MOST essential element. If there's any chance that a heat system could get Ana in a tee shirt... man, angle those solar panel collectors down 45 degrees dudes! :)

Yes. Also, depending on what car you drive you may be attacked by a bunch of hippies. Most people you see will be attractive and wearing little or no clothing. Every other car will have a surf board strapped to the roof and as soon as you enter the state you will feel your wallet being tugged at by the local congress.

Ridiculous and (mostly) untrue stereotypes aside, you should be fine.

Here's my official review... which is in no way biased since I worked on it :)

The movie rocks :) It's a significant push forward for the DVXuser fests. The production value across the board is strong and professional. It brings to light a thought/discussion I had with some other DVXusers not too long ago.. These fests have been around for a while now and there are some of us who have been here for a long time... As we grow as filmmakers, our work and those we work with are going to grow as well.. So it's inevitable that bigger films such as this are going to get made for these fests because for many of us, this place is where it all started. And I don't think anyone can dispute how much fun it is to make a film for a fest and be so readily involved in it. As even more years go by, and people on these boards continue to launch their careers.. I'm sure every now and then, they'll drop in with a short film ;)

Nice work Fat Monsters!!

Thanks Geoff. You rock man, seriously you're one of my favorite people that I've met since working on these things we call films.
