Sorry... got confused. We hope to have reservation holders all shipped by the 3rd or 4th month.

Jim
So when you say this, let's clarify: you don't mean "34d or 4th month OF THE YEAR", of course, you mean 3rd or 4th month after they start shipping. So if they start shipping in April, you think all reservation holders may have their reservations filled by, say, August? August-ish?

The ship date and NAB seem to be lining up quite nicely at this point. I'm hoping to get my hands on one in Vegas.

That's the goal, yes (of course, subject to change). Mardi_Gras' estimation of "mid May" was just his own (I'm not sure what the basis for that was). It wouldn't be the third or fourth month of "the year," as Jim mentioned that an April initial rollout seems realistic - and that's already the fourth month. So it wouldn't make much sense to fulfill all preorders by March in that case... unless they've got an even more amazing production system than anyone's aware of. :)

I noticed that too... as well as one of Rob's recent posts that alluded to being able to try it out at the show. I think it's going to be a pretty exciting time. :)

i CANNOT beliee you guys didi this in a year.

it takes me 3 weeks to finish a Drawing.....

Unless you're referring to what they've accomplished up until now, the correct reply was:

"I cannot believe you guys might do this in only a year."

Key word being 'might'. Nothing is certain until it has happened and even then it's open for debate.

better start writting some scripts now..
50 thou budget.. (super skinny budget)
ull have ur camera paid off.. some equipment rental taken care of (tracks, dolly, jib, lighting).. food for crew and then pay for the crew..

or hey even better...
how much do u think you can charge a local restraunt or business for a commercial?

Hey, Jim, I don't mind the 3-4 month delivery thing, it's looking like I'll have to delay my summer 2007 project to summer 2008 due to college (why the heck do they make you take so many electives:violin: ?)

So it's no longer imperative that I get the camera sooner rather than later.

But do be prepared, I'm definitely gonna swing by and hang out with you guys at the RED booth at NAB '07.

By the way, last I heard, the reservations ballooned up to the 800+ range, congratulations RED Team!

i think its well over a thousand.. at least my serial number is over a thousand..and im assumming that serial number is my place in line.. or am i wrong?

yah but... how many people will actually pull through and buy it..
i know i will!!!

on a side note.. who wants to start a RED ONE UNION

im refereing to the theyve created a color correct, operating 4k Imager, AND a high quality Lens system in less than a yea. who cares if they make the fnal camera, in a year..... the fact that what they made up until this point even exists is remarkable.

Jim. I've been impressed the entire way. Can those of us who live in the neighborhood or are willing to travel - pick up the camera at headquarters? If so, can there be consideration for perhaps a group demo- by one of the legends, If any of you would have the time?

We will gladly accept reservation holders to pick up their camera at the RED bunker. A quick run-through upon delivery would be no problem.

Jim

That would be really cool Jim. Maybe we could also check out the RED accessories--Thank who is available.

Need any RED shooters (The RED Pool) for Oakley gigs? I love breaking down the Oakely events on FUEL TV. Great stuff.

It make us feel as part of the RED team and more. Hope all we hoped for is going to be delivered in few months - waiting worth vile. All the best to RED team.

That's a good idea, do you think it would be wise to set up some kind of date?
