Eye loupe for GH2s

thatis there a diopter adjustment for the EVF? i have found using the EVF works better for focusing on the fly than using the LCD on the GH1's - i'm guessing that's still the case for the GH2's. I also have the 550D and that's not something that's available on the canons...

Yes there is a diopter adjustment for the EVF oh the GH2. It is great for use outside or when you don't want to be looking at the flip out screen. I almost bought a loupe for my T2i.....
The GH2 blows the T2i out of the water when it comes to video. Now I need to test between GH2 and T2i to see which one produces better stills.

Thanks for that, can i ask a few other points,on the 550D it uses 25P and i could edit the files on basic pinnacle 14 and make Blu Rays but i under stand pana tm700 files are not BD compatable is it the same with the GH2 , will i need a spare battery and finaly i have some Sandisk Extreme HD video cards will they be ok with the GH2. Cheers

Edit i have ordered now so i will be asking a lot more no doubt but what adaptor would i need for my canon EFS lenses, i only need manual focus, i cant see GH2 mentioned with this adaptor http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kiwifotos-L...LI/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1294135959&sr=8-15

I have both the T2i and the GH2. Can honestly say that I have not picked up the T2i for shooting video since I got the GH2, it's that much better! On the still image side though, I have to admit that the T2i is a better stills camera. The quality difference is pretty noticeable to me even though I'm not a big "photographer"...

I downloaded the Magic Lantern firmware and installed it, but haven't had a chance to really try it out. I just enjoy the GH2 so much that I honestly think I probably won't be using the T2i for video much EVEN with the hack.

Don't get me wrong, the stills from the GH2 are pretty good, but I'd have to give the nod to the Canon in that department.

I agree 100% with Tony. This has been my experience too. The T2i is gathering dust in the closet while the GH2 is out shooting stills and video. I also agree that the Canon has the edge in still image quality (but not enough to get it out of the closet).

Flinty - as I understand it, European GH2s do not have 25p. That may or may not affect your ability to use Pinnacle for making Blu-Ray disks. On the spare battery -- yes, I recommend it. If you're in Europe, it should be easier to get a spare than it is here in North America. Or you can try Phil Hover's battery hack here.

On SD cards -- your Sandisks should work.

On the adapter -- any inexpensive EOS to m4/3 adapter on eBay will work, but you won't have autofocus or aperture control.
