AC90: Extension cable for Varizoom VZ-ROCK-PZFI Cost $$$. Anything cheaper out there?

I have a Varizoom VZ-ROCK-PZFI. Works fine with my AC90 but need an extension cable to use the VZ-ROCK-PZFI while the camera is out on a gib. I found one from Studio1Productions:

Am wondering if it will work with the Varizoom controller. Seems to me it will, I mean why wouldn't it. It's just an extension of the wires right? So before I order it can anyone tell me if it won't work?

I use the manfrotto focus controller and a homemade zoom/trigger box. As I recall the focus/iris is a mini trrs (tip, 2 rings, sleeve), and the zoom/trigger is a mini trs. As long as the plugs are the correct size and have the correct number of tip/ring/sleeves, you should be good to go.

I went ahead and got the Varizoom cable, it was something like $70 at the time but works fine for cranes, ceiling mounts, etc. When I put the focus/iris controller on my shoulder rig (I just mount it near a front handle, awesome) I needed a 6" extension. Found a basic cable on Amazon that was for a blackberry or Android or something, works fine. Same jack setup and size and you should be fine.
