GH2 EXCLUSIVE Noktor 12mm 1.6 on GH2 !

Right on Justyn! The lens is definitely worth it. Forgive me as I am supposed to upload some more footage but I have been swamped with work. Hang in there and will do it as soon as I can.

Bob

I have been chatting back and forth with Andrew. The lens should have arrived today but they had issues with UPS, so it's being shipped out tomorrow and then it will be arriving on the 27th. I would suggest that people contact them cause this is going to be a huge seller. It'll be like the .95 Nokton... it'll be really hard to find. I've been waiting for a lens like this for a while. The Tokina 11-16 is nice but I'd like something faster. The olympus is interesting and I'll probably get that as well, but at 500 bucks shipped, that's a hell of a deal.

I do also love this forum and people like Bob and Serge and others who share their knowledge and of course it all comes from the Top down and there's not a more decent and upstanding person on the planet, than Barry Green. I'll be happy to shoot some stuff for you guys and I'll post it when I get back from NH.

ALSO>>> in new news Andrew said that they are planning on releasing a lens hood that allows use of 77mm filters and all without vignetting. So I ended up buying some step up rings for the interim and bought a few 77mm filters, including a cheap Fader. I have a nice 62mm fader, but I'm going to go cheap and see if it's passable...

No worries Bob! It's a blessing to be busy so no apologies there! Thanks for your review before and YEP, I"m looking forward to getting the lens. I"m hoping to get to do some snowfall shoots and I really want to try some nighttime timelapses as I'm going to be in Northern NH for a week and I think it shouldn't have too much light pollution...

I hope you have a great holiday season and many more to come!

My lens just arrived at my dad's house in NH. I get to pick it up on Tuesday. Can't wait and I hope they have snow in NH.....

I'v had the lens now for a day and it's exactly what Bob was saying. I flipping LOVE... LOVE... LOVE this lens. I love it as much, if not more than the .95 Nokton. It's going to stay on my GH2 the entire vacation. You should see what I've shot already... and I'll post a whole video and review when I get back to NH. It's exactly what I was needing. A fast wide angle lens. I'm also shooting it with the Opteka Fader ND that's flipping awesome for 30 bucks.. Every bit as good as the 130 dollar Genus that I bought...

There are a few quirks to the lens but I'm getting used to them.... but overall it's so awesome! For the price, this baby will not be in stock and rightly so.... the build quality is comperable to the Nokton and I'm getting used to the focus. That's the one thing thats not quite as good as the Nokton, but the focus on that lens is about the best I've ever seen...

But the biggest thing I flipping love is that there's no hardstops on the Iris. It's butter smooth and now I am able to dial between that and the Fader. Just exquisitly awesome. I'll sell you mine for 1500 cause that's what it would take to get it out of my warm and sometimes frozen NH hands.

Happy new year to the best forum members on the planet!
