EX1R Available Now at B&H!

What are you willing to part with the camera for? I'm in the market for an EX-1, but not sure if I want to pony up the extra cash for the R. Just curious...
 
I'm thinking 5,700.00 with the buyer paying shipping. Not sure how to handle that. Maybe pay pal. It has current Firmware too.

I think sony had an online expo, if you attended it you got a choice of 400.00 cash back on purchases over 5k, or a 600.00 credit at sonystyle.com

So it seems not everyone can get a rebate on the EX1R. I would have bought one myself with the rebate.
 
thanks for the sensor sizes. But basically i need to multiply that 1/2 inch sensor by 3 in order to get its full size? since the camera is a 3 1/2 inch camera. Or am I simply confused here.

The SxS 16 GB Pro card the EX1R is shipping with is worth $530. Since having one or more of these or larger is nearly mandatory, That's a big bonus.

The old 8 GB card was too small for most stuff IMO and a waste.

The 16 GB card is still expensive at $850ish.
 
I know Buck! I can't believe it. I probably wouldn't have bought a 2nd one of these due to the price. So I'm way stoked to be able to do a 2 cam shoot with matching PP.
 
Well maybe you cant use them at the same time, but both are available on the camera, rather than HDMI replacing SDI.
 
Just got a ex1r and the ergonomics are excellent. The handholding issue, although I never do it without support, is now a non issue. All the fixes make the camera an even more pleasure to use. Haven't done any thorough shoots with it yet but I like it much better.

Buttons are way better, tripod screw hole plate more beefier as there are now two 1/4" holes, MxM and MxR still work, handgrip much much easier on the hand, and viewfinder now useful. The only thing I noticed right out is the SxS door got a bit flimsier. Sony did a great job. I have a 7D and 5D as b cams , A cam is still this killer cam.
