EVS online A++.

Thanks everybody! :)

We all had a little chat today, and agreed that no matter how engrossed we are in a conversation with a customer, we have to always take note to see if there's someone waiting for service in the front lobby. As filmmakers, we tend to go overboard putting ourselves in our customers shoes in order to make the best suggestions. That kind of puts us in a haze  . We are not about to stop doing that, :) but we made a conscious decision to make sure that everyone is taken care of. Since there are only six of us salespeople at EVS, we can also sometimes get overwhelmed with an onrush of business. Hopefully we'll get some additional people on board, and we will be able to handle larger volume. The owners are very particular about the personalities of those they hire, so it is a bit of a process.

Rush,

I don't want to beat a dead horse here, and as I said, I'm going to come to you to get my DVX because of all the positive comments, but I mentioned my experience at EVS because it was so contrary to all the posts here.

I'm not ragging on people or trying to get anybody in trouble and am still willing to make the 50 mile round trip in LA traffic (not to mention gas prices) to buy from you. But just for clarafication, when I was at the store there was only one other customer who was being helped and there were two gentlemen behind the counter talking about girlfriends and baseball. Maybe they were on a break or something but they weren't interested in talking to me even though I was standing at the counter about 3 feet from them.

This seemed really odd considering I was very jazzed to go to a store that had such a great reputation for customer service.

Maybe I just hit the store on an off day. We all have them. Next time I'll call ahead to see if you are available. The day you get a DVX 100 B is the day I'll be there!

I'd just like to add I'm another happy costumer at EVS, I don't know if Rush remember me, but I bough my DVX kit from him. Perfect service, even from thousands of miles away!

Thanks taubkin, ofcourse I remember you! It's the avatars that hang on in the memory, and yours is super-cool

Just completed my EVS order with Tommy. Despite me calling just minutes after power was restored in LA, everything ran smoothly and he took my order down on paper. I even got a call once the computers were back online just to let me know that everything had gone through and that the camera would ship that day (as well as giving me the serial # so i could get a head start on registering for the rebate). I will definitely order my tripod from them once I save up another few hundred dollars.

Thank you revolution, we appreciate your patronage.

We had quite a time today with that blackout, we all had to stay until 7:30pm to finish our orders, due to those 2 hrs we lost. :undecided But all's well that ends well.

I just wanted to post a great further testimony to EVS and the great service they offer. This Friday I called EVS again to order my 503 head. For a couple of weeks I had emailed Rush back and forth and I debated whether to get the 501 or 503. He responded to all my emails quickly and politely. When I called him on Friday he answered some questions about stabilizers for me, but rather than acting as only a sales person was honest about what I could expect and what I would need to do to get the results I was looking for.

If anyone out there is looking to purchase anything audio or video related, EVS, as always, is #1. They treat you as a person rather than just an order. 'nuff said (wow, I'm street tonight, eh)

Rush I didn't expect you would be that fast with my small order! I guess no Jewish Holiday for you ;)
thanks

After 3 orders with evs everything has been perfect. Thanks!
It is nice to be able to trust an online store.
Maybe I will start asking for the discount one day.....

Rush,
Have to thank you again man. Especially after all the trouble I had with my bank trying to get the payment to come through. Love my new DVX!

Kev

You're welcome Kev! Please don't worry, you'd be surprised how many of those we have to do everyday.

Another good source of Equipment, Sony, Pansonic, and JVC is G & G Technologies out of New Jersey. I have spent big bucks there, with a dozen or more orders and not had a screw-up once.

Talk to Mike Delisio. www.ggvideo.com 800-843-3691

Mike has been very helpful to me.

so far i've dealt with them twice, and i'm hooked...rush is the man, and as long as they carry what i need, thats where i'll be getting my stuff!

Well, I'm sold - hopefully heading out to EVS today - and I expect my experience will be as grand as everyone else's!
