and by the way, the reason the reds are blocky is due to the fact that it was captured as mov. When you work on pc, AVI never has this issue. It appears that mov and mpeg both suffer from blocky saturated colors, like RED reds and BLUE blues.
 
TheComo: A friend of mine from school is planning to shoot a feature zombie flick this summer in Denamrk which he ask if I could be a DP on, hopefully it will work out :) Would be a cool experience.

Papa: I edit on a PC with premiere, and the reds still look blocky both in premiere and in the raw AVI file :( Is this a issue with the dvx, or with all sd cameras? The reds and blues that is.
 
That looked really nice. I think it looked better than that kid's METH trailer, which I thought looked damn nice.

you look very young.... you are a healthy bunch in Norway.

im 24 but im losing my hair and have wrinkles already.... but i live in NYC too..... this isnt exactly the fresh air/food/clean environment capitol of the world.
 
Hehe, that's the hard city life for you. I do a lot of camping in the high mountains myself, maybe that's why :)

Wow, the before stills look great! Don't get me wrong, the CC'ed stills are great, but with out the CC, they still look wonderful.

What's your trick eliminating noise, can't even notice it.
 
I corrected these in premiere with the use of levels, tint, and color balance. Pretty small adjustments were made. I don't have any tricks for eliminating noise, I guess the dvx and the sgpro just works well together :)
 
LESS noise? Wow..I can't imagine how much the 100a would get. Or do i just not know how to use my camera? Sometimes i get nicee clean images, and then others are noisy. And there both light!
 
Your work always amazes me. And also makes me feel jealous. I have a folder of most of your stuff in case I ever want to inspire myself

anyways, do you mind sharing your scene file settings?
