It is great news! We are all very excited about this new development. I haven't been on in awhile because we've been in the process of moving, but I appreciate all the feedback from everyone! :)
 
Yep, you've been a BUSY girl lately, Rebecca! :)

NEWS UPDATE: Ryan Walters (235 Studios) will be B Cam, working with Dan Ayers (the DP) for TRINITY RIVER. As such, since I'm using this short as a warm up opportunity for folks to work together in advance, Ryan will now be serving as 1st AC on WHERE SILENCE FALLS.

It'll be exciting to have him on the film, and it also only feels natural since we've worked the last three films together. :)

I'm moving Stefan to 1st AD, and will be talking further with him about that (PM you soon Stefan). Thankfully Stefan has been kind enough to be flexible where ever he can best be used, and he's got experience across the board as well!

Possible HUGE news release next week. Stay tuned.

I agree! Like and respect Ryan's work and look forward to working with him on both ventures. :)
 
Well that's no good Norm, how can we perpetuate the rumors that you and Ryan had a nasty falling out and have threatened to kill whoever steps into the other's territory again? :evil: :grin:


Great news guys...looking forward to the continued growth of this collaboration. And the addition of the new crew just makes this a stronger force up there in the Great Northwest :)

Thank you, Mark. I appreciate that. I will definitely be back over there to visit in the near future! It's been a bit since I've been on and its great to get back here and check out some of the threads. :)

Let me apologize ahead of time, though, because TommyInLA and Kyle Stebbins tend to overshadow the subtle and layered film making discussions that we mature members of the team attempt to bring to the table. If you happen to come by and see crude scatological humor, that's Kyle's doing. If you see outrageous and offensive photoshopped graphics, that is Tom's fault.
 
Well, it is with a sad, sad heart that I must announce the following withdrawal ...

The script from public view.

What, did you think we'd actually pull out of the fest!?! :evil: RebeccaD and I worked on a final polish of the script (very minor stuff, not even enough to call a new draft - dialogue tweaks, mostly), and she'd been off the boards for quite a while as she's busy moving. I had made the decision to show the script page at a time in advance as a teaser, but she feels it would be best for a few reasons not to.

So, since all of you guys out there think that she can do no wrong, and love her so much, I'll just place the blame on her. :grin: She's making me pull the script from public viewing.
 
What a weak man, blaming it on Rebecca. :grin: Hey, I thought it was a gutsy move to post it anyway, I'm with Rebecca on this one, keep it under wraps. Let it be revealed in visual form only.

So, when does production begin?
 
We'll shoot January 13/14, giving us approx 2 weeks of post. PLENTY of time to plan, rehearse, get through the holidays, etc. :)

Sure, I'll take the weak man title, why not. Basically, she's untouchable on these boards, so who better to pawn it off on? :beer:

Wow, 2 weeks for post...I guess it's a shorter post cycle when you don't have crazy CG effects, huh? :)

Post should be SUPER simple for this, as there's zero FX other than production (makeup), so it'll just be mostly about score & titles for any real post work beyond the simple edits, etc.
