Dvxusers Only! SmallHD Special Group Pricing

I was turned down (to start a group buy) because they feel that the monitor is already at a great low price. I can't say I blame them. I tried because I didn't want all of DVX users to buy the TV logic without the opportunity to compete. Again, they were super nice about it and took the time to call me more than once.

One thing to keep in mind for AF users, if you are using the camera with nano flash and 24psf, right now the Small HD does not work via HDMI from the Nano or camera, not sure about HD-SDI version of the monitor, can someone confirm?

I will be using the Nano. Are you saying that the camera will not output at the same time SDI and HDMI?

I specifically used 24psf and the HDSDI and it worked. I don't have a nanoflash, and I have not tested the HDMI yet.

Also, I am pretty sure that Timur and those that shot the AF100 western used a DP6 and a nanoflash as I remember seeing both in their videos. Might want to ask them.

We did and we couldn't get that combo to work either. We ended up splitting the SDI and sending it to both.

That's right, when 24psf is enabled in the camera the HDMI output shuts off. Not sure why, but this is something to keep in mind and has been frustrating. And my monitor DP1, doesnt display the signal from the nano HDMI output either. So essentially I cannot monitor externally right now when shooting 24psf to my NF.

So at this time the only DP6 choice if you are using a Nano is the SDI model? Using either the monitor or the nano to split the SDI, it's this correct?

Can someone confirm the Small HD monitors with SDI work using the nano? Hopefully someone out there has tried this. What about someone with the TV Logic monitor and NF, does that work?

Barry, can't you just pass through the DP6 with HDSDI? It has 2 ports.

Pertaining to the nanoflash HDMI, has someone brought this up with smallHD? I don't have a nanoflash so I cannot bring one down there, but if there was something AF100 specific I could help them. If the HDMI of the AF100 shuts off for 24psf, nothing they can do can help that.

I have a DP1X as well, and even though I like the size, the image quality is no where near as nice as the DP6. To eBay it will go soon.

Just to let everyone know, asking a question on this forum can be considered a meaningful post. I know some people were inquiring about this. Thanks.

Me. :) Of course, I placed the order before being aware of this promo. However, as I mentioned in another thread, I contacted SmallHD when I learned of the deal and they reimbursed 10% of my total order. I'm still learning about the monitor and will use it on a shoot tomorrow for Discovery Channel at the National Weather Center.

My first impression is that the image is really nice; its sleek, solid and sexy.
