DVXFest Sci-Fi Contest

The admins have said that if the cry is loud enough, they will make it sci-fi. So supporting the idea before it's been officially announced is what we SHOULD be doing. :)

So I should make a Film Noir thread?

Of course, I'm planning on a Film Noir Sci-Fi. I mean why not, they're not mutually exclusive...

Hey TC I can't decide if that robot is shooting a laser of destruction or one of appreciation?

TC... maybe you missed this earlier... but c'mon... THIS is the funniest thing I've posted here in a while.

Is your robot saying "die humans" or "mmmmm"?

ok all you homos.. you pushed hard enough. i will postpone my "other" fabulous plans and the next contest will be the "DVXuser Sci-fest".

you heard it hear first kids.

I'd be willing to bet that his next fest will be the musical... Anyone who uses the words 'other' and 'fabulous' back to back wants to see some Rockette esque choreography...

DAMN. now i gotta chuck the new poster.

That is hilarious, I did laugh out loud, but I refuse to put the stupid, 'LOL', but I know I just typed it, regardless...HILARIOUS

What's the time limit on this thing going to be? If I can do 15 minutes I'll definitely enter. Otherwise, I'll just cut out a chunk from a 15 minute project.

 Well, he's saying 'Die, humans." but he's also greatful for the oportunity to test his new 'death ray.'

Yeah, I'd personally love it if we could have a film that is over the five minute time constraint. I understand about the issues with having to sit through a ton of movies, but if the deadline is kept where it is and if the file size constraints are kept with where they were on the Zombiefest I really think that you could easily do a 10 minute movie and have it at under 35meg.

....without it looking really bad due to the compression??

I would love to do a ten minute film, but think about it. The zombie fest had 80 enteries! That would be 800 minutes or over 13 hours of films to watch and judge. You may want to make a ten minute film, but do you want to watch and judge 13 hours worth of them???
