Hello all, I just saw another DVX and under the viewfinder for the other ones it said dvx100BP and under mine it only says DVX100B

What's the difference here?

"All USA model numbers from Panasonic have a "P" at the end labeling it as a NTSC product. It has an "N" at the end if it's PAL."

you could've searched the forum

I got it brand new from an ebay store, Sunshine Electronics, there feedback was really good and everything seems really fine.

hmm it also says under the viewfinder, made in japan, are they supposed to be made in Japan? **** did I get "scammed"

hm yeah true, Guess I'm just kind of having a panic. I mean it has had some small glitches maybe like once a tape the smallest glitch ever, but I'm really gonna blame that on the fact that since I've gotten it ALL I've shot with it is in a dirty dusty warehouse building, come spring when it actually gets to be outside in the fresh air i think they will completely stop.

Anyone back me on that idea?

The 100P is the original (I believe it was the first camera in this price range to offer progressive video). Then came the A, and in 2005 the 100B came out. So you have the latest version. A list of the improvements in the 100B can be found at http://www.dvxuser.com/articles/100b/.

I'm looking to buy a 100B, used with low hours is okay, or new with low (but REAL) price is okay. I'll check out the eBay vendor you used, you still happy with it?

Yeah, I'm definitely really happy with it, everything is good with it so far.

Sunshine Electronics has really really good ebay feedback and some pretty good stuff said on reseller ratings. I have seen some really terrible stuff said about them from back in like 2005 but everything post 2007 seems really legit.

Thanks!
