DVX100b used in a Breakdance video

Thanks Mark, we used default settings on the DVX100B, we made sure we were white balanced at all times. All the color corrections were done in Vegas 6.0, then we crushed the blacks and we did minor color adjustment. Luckily we didn't have to do too much because the colors were pretty good as we shot it.

hi there loved your video i am thinking of buying a new camera between the Sony FX1 and the DVX100b at the moment i am favourite for the DVX (as i love the film look it gives and good colours) i put your compressed footage on dvd
and watched on my 29 inch tv and it still looked good, but i would love to see some Raw footage higher quality from this cam before i decide any chance of me contacted you for a dvd.

I think your footage is ichi-ban in japan

thanks San-Ban

Thank you SANBAN. We're glad you liked it. DVX100B is our first camera, but so far we are really happy with it. I don't think it'll go wrong with DVX.

and Mark, As for the lighting, we used five fluorescent lights hooked up to tripodes and ran them to a car battery. We only spent a total of 12000 yen (about 120 dollars) for our lighting set-up. It was the cheapest way but still worked pretty good, I think.

oh dang its krazy kujo! that man is king of deadmans! I remember when I used to hit up practice spots(mainly foundation spots), that man is a beast! twocik23 did you make that kujo doc? I like it a lot. I miss bustin, I'm tryin ta get back into it.

I'm still downloading the video, so I'll comment when I get the chance. I was in japan over the summer with my family. I was tryin to find some good hip hop spots to go session at but the only clubs I was able to find were some jiggy hip hop spots and I'm not exacly down with the jiggy. I plan to go back sometime soon to visit my homie who is stationed about and hour away from tokyo. Hopefully I can find some true hip hop spots then.

I watch most of their (Gamblers and Expressions Crew) clips on bboy world and see that they have taken it to a whole another level. I think it's awesome that they take it like a sport, not just some way of making money, or picking up chicks, like some of us americans. Definitely keep me posted or if you need any tips or whatever PM me.

aren't expressions and gamblers crew from korea?

edit: K, just finished watching the video. Not too bad at all. I think you could have thrown some facial expression in there tho from reacting to the other side's moves. that bgirl with the white and pink jacket has a sick style!

since, I have some equipment setup in my garage for a shoot i did earlier, I may just go ahead and make a small clip of me popping...even tho its been sucha long time since I danced. I'll post it up soon.

Yup yup yup! They are from Korea and so am I. I'm in Japan now though. I met them for business and Twocik, you are right, they are very very humble and polite and truly enjoy dancing. That's why I would like to include them for next projects that we are planning to do..
