DVX, no question. Here's a little of what you get with the DVX that you won't get with the Sony:
- stopped zoom ring
- 24p
- the signature "Panasonic" look
- XLR audio inputs

Honeslty, I've not seen a lot of footage out of the VX2100 that's really impressed me. It may have slightly better low-light performance, but the images just don't grab me. Maybe I've been spoiled by Panasonic, but there's just so much about the DVX that makes it a worthy investment.

Also check out this recent, and somewhat similar thread: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=188744

I have both and I prefer my DVX. C2V is right on about the low light on the Sony. It is about 2 maybe 3 F-stops more sensitive but also goes up to 18 db of gain to achieve it. And you can get a beachtek adapter for the VX2100 to hook up 2 XLR inputs (or 1 XLR and a 1/8th inch plug) but I rely on my DVX to record the sound. IF you need to shoot in a widescreen format that isn't letterboxed then stay away from the Sony. Both cameras have 4:3 CCDs but the DVX can shoot in "Squeeze" mode and it will fill a 16:9 frame with no need to increase the image's scale in post. Unless you plan to only use it for receptions and similar events and the 4:3 frame is OK with you I highly recommend the DVX. I am about to get a second DVX unless I decide to go with an HVX200A. The Sony gets a nice image but the DVX is way more versatile.
